Behind the Project: Casa Sol
Starting with intention
Casa Sol was approached with a clear intention: to create a home that felt grounded, warm, and quietly refined. Rather than introducing bold gestures, the focus was on balance, allowing materials, light, and proportion to lead the design.
From the outset, we wanted the space to feel settled. A home that feels complete without being overly styled, where everyday living could unfold naturally.
Material decisions
Materiality played a central role in shaping the atmosphere of the home. Warm timber cabinetry was chosen to anchor the kitchen and living areas, bringing depth and texture to an otherwise restrained palette. Stone and soft neutral finishes provided contrast without visual heaviness.
These materials were selected not only for their appearance, but for how they would age and evolve over time.
Designing for flow
The layout was refined to support ease of movement and connection between spaces. Clean lines and purposeful joinery helped maintain visual continuity, allowing the home to feel calm and cohesive.
Natural light was carefully considered throughout, filtered to soften the interiors and highlight subtle textures rather than overwhelm the space.
A quiet outcome
Casa Sol is not defined by a single statement, but by a series of thoughtful decisions that work together. It is a home designed to feel comfortable, considered, and enduring.
Projects like this reflect our approach to design, focused on longevity, restraint, and creating spaces that feel good to live in every day.
